It’s the reason we hold every plank to the same standard, not a headline we lead with.
Sora installs using the patented Unilin angle-angle locking system, which is a tight, tongue-and-groove joint that locks planks together without the need for glue, nails or staples. Planks should acclimate to the room at least 48 hours before installation and the subfloor must be flat, clean and dry. Sora is built for interior, climate-controlled spaces and isn’t recommended over soft subfloors like carpet or in areas prone to flooding.

The wear layer is warrantied to not wear through for 25 years in residential use and 15 years in light commercial use. Sora is waterproof. That means it won’t buckle or lose integrity for everyday spills like water, wine or cleanser as long as it’s cleaned up promptly. For installations over concrete, a 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier is required to protect against hydrostatic pressure.
The warranty doesn’t cover damage that comes as a result of improper installation, pet claws, high heels, direct sunlight fading or use in spaces the collection isn’t intended for like pools, bathrooms with heavy water exposure or high-density commercial spaces such as hotel lobbies or stadiums. To file a claim, contact the dealer you purchased from.
